#CalWoodFire: HWY 36 closed at Broadway, Boulder Police sending resources to assist

The City of Boulder Police Department is currently assisting the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and surrounding agencies with the Cal Wood Fire. As of 3:25PM, there is a complete road closure for all westbound/northbound traffic at HWY 36 at Broadway. Please avoid the area and DO NOT park on the roadway to observe or take pictures of the incident.

Unless you see flames in your immediate area please do not call 911 in reference to the fire. Dispatchers are working non-stop to answer calls and get resources to the community. Also see @BoulderOEM on Twitter for updates.


The Boulder Police Department, CU Boulder Police Department and Boulder County Sheriff’s Office are all working together to address concerns for the #CalWoodFire and other calls for assistance. If you do not need immediate police assistance related to a safety issue, please report your incident online or delay reporting until tomorrow.
