Arrest of Violent DV Offender

On August 08, 2020 Boulder Police detectives were advised of a Domestic Violence incident.  After a complete and thorough investigation Gary Allen Baker was identified as the suspect in the case for multiple felony charges.  At the time of the of the crime he was on parole for Stalking and Domestic Violence.  A warrant was obtained for Mr. Baker on August 21, 2020 by a BPD detective.

Boulder Police, in a collaborative effort with the US Marshalls, the Colorado Department of Correction, and the US Violent Offender Task Force began a fugitive hunt for Gary Baker.  This search lead them to Hilton Head South Carolina.  Gary Baker’s location was passed on to the local jurisdiction.  Today after a pursuit and barricade standoff, with Hilton Head authorities, Gary Baker was taken into custody for the Boulder Police Department and State Parole warrants.

  • Tampering Motor Vehicle class 5 Felony
  • DV Habitual class 5 Felony
  • Violation of multiple protection orders – Misdemeanor
  • Violation of multiple Bond Conditions – Misdemeanor
