Boulder police have released a composite sketch of the man responsible for multiple armed carjackings on Friday, Dec. 21, shortly before 8 p.m.
An officer working undercover witnessed the first armed carjacking on 28th just south of Glenwood Drive. The officer attempted to intervene, and the suspect rammed his vehicle with the stolen car. Officers pursued the suspect to 28th near Valmont Road where he crashed and then carjacked another person in the area. The suspect then drove the 2500 block of Bluff Street, where he ditched the vehicle and took off on foot.
The suspect is described as a black male with a shaved head, approximately 5’7” – 5’10” tall with a stocky build. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a dark-colored puffy jacket and was armed with a handgun.
Boulder police have increased patrols in the area. Anyone who may have additional information on this case should call the Detective Kara Wills at 303-441-3482.
