Boulder police have arrested Alejandro Morales-Ibarra (dob 9/2/97) after he attempted to run over his girlfriend with a vehicle.

On Dec. 12., at approximately 3:20 p.m., police responded to the Grease Monkey, located 2405 28th St. on a report that a car had just crashed into the building. Police quickly determined that leading up to the crash the man was in the passenger seat of the vehicle assaulting his girlfriend while she was driving. The victim was able to pull over and ran into Grease Monkey for help which is when Morales jumped in the driver’s seat and drove into the bay in an attempt to run her over. He just missed hitting her and struck a parked vehicle which was being serviced inside the bay.

Morales is being held at the Boulder County Jail on charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, First Degree Kidnapping, Second Degree Assault, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Attempt, Reckless Endangerment and Domestic Violence.
