At approximately 12:01PM, the City of Boulder Dispatch center received a 911 call from a community member in the area of 13th Street and North Street.  The caller told the 911 call taker that he was in a parking garage and a female, who was holding a gun in the air, was looking at him.  The caller was able to back away and get to a safe location.  The first officers arrived on scene within 3 minutes of the initial 911 call and began searching the area.  Out of an abundance of caution, Casey Middle School and Sacred Heart of Jesus School were both put on lock-out.

While searching the area, officers came in contact with the female in her vehicle, which was parked in a business parking garage.  After a short negotiation with the female, officers were able to convince her to exit her vehicle.  At approximately 12:25PM, the female was taken into custody and there is no threat to the community.  Officers are still investigating this incident and no further details will be posted at this time.
