At approximately 12:15PM, the Boulder Police Department Communication Center received a phone call in reference to a missing male. The missing male is Ian Defee and is described as an autistic 20-year-old, who was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and was carrying multiple stuffed animals.

Ian wondered away from his family and was last seen on the Walter Orr Roberts Weather Trail, which is located near the NCAR facility on Table Mesa Drive. Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks (OSMP) Rangers are currently enroute to this location to begin to search for Ian. Anyone with information about Ian’s location is asked to call the Boulder Police Department at 303-441-3333.

We are currently working on getting additional details and will post updates here.

Update 12:55PM: A community member saw Ian on the trail and with the help of OSMP Rangers, was able to safely reunite Ian with his family. On behalf of Ian, his family and the Boulder Police Department, we thank the community for their assistance.
