Boulder Police continue investigation from the North Boulder Rec Center

On Jan. 3, 2020, the Boulder Police Department responded to The North Boulder Rec Center at 3170 Broadway on a report of male who inappropriately touched a child in the center’s hot tub. Officers began investigating the allegations and arrested Brandt Deboard (DOB 09/24/1978) for:

C.R.S. 18-3-405(1), Sex assault on a child, a class four felony

C.R.S. 18-3-204(1)(a), Third degree assault, a class one misdemeanor

C.R.S 18-3-412.5(2)(a), Failure to register as a sex offender, a class six felony

Detectives investigating the incident believe there may be other incidents involving Deboard touching children in the hot tub. Anyone who believes they or someone they know, are victims of such conduct are encouraged to call the police. If anyone believes they witnessed any instances of any inappropriate behavior they are also asked to call the police.

Those who have information but wish to remain anonymous may contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted through the Crime Stoppers website at www.crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers, and any arrested party must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
