The Boulder Police Department arrested Angel Adrian Castro-Velasquez for breaking into a home and assaulting a female in her room.
On Feb. 2, 2020, Boulder police began investigating a report of a male who entered a home in north Boulder and assaulted an adult female victim. The male was described as a Hispanic male wearing a hoodie and a vest. The female began fighting with the male. The victim’s mother heard the assault and assisted her daughter fighting with the male. The male ran from the home prior to police arriving.
Through the course of the investigation Boulder Police Department detectives were able to identify the male as Angel Adrian Castro-Velasquez, date of birth Nov. 2, 2001. Castro-Velasquez was arrested on Feb. 5, 2020 and transported to the Boulder County Jail on the following charges:
Attempted sexual assault, C.R.S. 18-3-402(5)(a)(2), a class 3 felony
Unlawful sexual contact, C.R.S. 18-3-404(2)(b), a class 4 felony
Assault in the first degree, C.R.S. 18-3-202(1)(a), a class 3 felony
First degree burglary, C.R.S. 18-4-202(1), a class 3 felony
False imprisonment, C.R.S. 18-3-303(1), a class 2 misdemeanor

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers, and any arrested party must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
