Suspects Arrested in Last Week’s Shooting

Boulder, Colo. – On Thursday, March 19, officers responded to the 2900 block of Shady Hollow West on the report of a shooting.  They found a male with a gunshot wound to his thigh.  Officers applied a tourniquet and he was transported to Boulder Community Health where he had surgery and is recuperating.

After an extensive investigation, three suspects have been arrested.  The shooter is identified as 19-year-old Simba Maat.  He has been charged with First Degree Assault, Aggravated Robbery, Menacing and Criminal Attempt.  Police also arrested 19-year-old Jacob Evans.  His charges include Criminal Attempt, Menacing, Complicity, Conspiracy, First Degree Assault and Aggravated Robbery.  A 19-year-old female, Madison Montross was charged with Menacing, First Degree Assault, Aggravated Robbery, Complicity, Criminal Attempt and Conspiracy.  

The case number is 20-3033.

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers and any arrested party must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
