This help article will guide you through what to do if you need to report your Apple device as stolen.

Step 1 – Login to Find My iPhone

On any web browser login at www.iCloud.com. You will be prompted to enter your Two-Factor Authentication code. If you don’t have a device to get the authentication code, click on the Find iPhone button.

This will open Find My iPhone and you can track your Apple device. Click on your device and click “Lost Mode”.

Step 2 – Get Device Serial Number

On any web browser, login at www.appleid.apple.com. You will be prompted to enter your Two-Factor Authentication code. If you don’t have a device to get the authentication code, you’ll need to begin account recovery. To begin account recover, please click here

You can also find your device serial number on your original purchase receipt and/or your original device packaging

Step 3 – Report Stolen

In order for police to enter your device into the law enforcement database as stolen, we must have the serial number for the device. If you are unable to locate your device’s serial number, you can still complete a police report, but your device won’t be able to be entered into the law enforcement database and chances of law enforcement recovering your device is very low.
